Photovoltaic systems on new buildings and in alpine areas should help to reduce the risk of electricity shortages - this is what the Swiss parliament decided. The Bernese municipality of Wohlen has been following this strategy for years, equipping roof after roof with solar modules. The trend shows that photovoltaic systems are now widely accepted and are increasingly blending visually with the house roofs on which they are mounted.
